Template Override Event to Use for All Ads/Alerts
Although Scrolf allows you to upload sponsorship logos and create an alert for each of your events, it is time consuming to repeat this process if all of the sponsorships and alerts should always be the same for all of you events. To help with this process we've created the concept of a template event to be used to store sponsorship logos that will be displayed in all events. The following directions show you how to make this happen.
1) Create a regular stroke-play tournament with a play date in the future (something like 01/01/2025 would be great). You should name it something like 'Sponsorship Template'. You just need a single player and save the event.
2) Edit the ads/alerts for that event and upload your sponsorship logo(s). You can also set an alert if relevant to all your events.
3) Once completed, click the 'My Profile' tab and select the 'Template Override Event to Use for All Ads/Alerts' dropdown. Find the event you just created from the list (they're sorted in newest to oldest date order) and select it.
4) If you need to change any of the ads or alert you can click the displayed edit link.
That's it. Now all of your events moving forward will use the ads/alert from the Sponsorship Template. Any ads and alerts added to the individual underlying event will be ignored.
How to turn off the template override - If you no longer want to use the override feature, just click on the 'Template Override Event to Use for All Ads/Alerts' dropdown and select the very first entry (which should be blank). The template will no longer be used and your events will use their own ads/alert (if any).
