Multiple-Round tournaments can be easily created. The scoring for each round is accumulated and shown on the leader board of the active round so each team/player can see exactly where they stand.
To create a multiple-round tournament the event organizer first creates a regular tournament. This tournament, known as the first round or primary round, becomes the template for additional rounds. To add an additional round, select the tournament on the <My Tournaments> list and the click the <Add New Round> link. The details of the primary round will be copied to the new round and a corresponding <Tournament Information> page will be displayed. At this point you can change some of the information such as the round date, but not all of it (the grayed out fields can't be changed). For example security settings are based on the Primary (first round) settings and so can't be changed here (you have to edit the primary round in order to change those types of settings). You must submit the page to actually save the new round.
Note that once you add a round to a tournament, which makes it a multi-round event, you cannot change the scoring method, even on the primary (first) round. There are differences in how a multi-round stroke-play event is handled versus a multi-round match-play event and they cannot be mixed. Differences between the two are noted below.
For information on how security is used for multiple-round tournaments, look here.
Multiple-Round Stroke-Play Tournaments
In stroke-play tournaments the team/players scores need to be carried forward from round to round, so team/player information can't be changed in new rounds. If for some reason you need to change the spelling of a team/player or drop a team/player, you need to edit the primary (first) round. It is strongly recommended that you enable (check) the 'Team/Player Naming Option' on the <Tournament Information> page to prevent scorers from changing team/player names.
If you are doing a shotgun or tee time start, and need to make changes after the first round has been scored, then edit the primary (first) round starting holes and they will be used for additional rounds. Once tournament scoring begins, do not change a team/player on the registered teams/players grid as this will result in unpredictable scoring results!
Multiple-Round Match-Play Tournaments
In match-play tournaments the player match-ups can change from round to round as only the resulting team points are carried from round to round. When a new round is added, the primary (first) round match-ups are copied over for convenience sake. It is expected that you will change them to any type or match-up that you prefer for the new round. In addition, you can change both the "Holes in this Match" setting and the "Win Points" setting for the new round.
